SERGIO ATHOS is one of the most important figures on the Argentine scene: a pioneer of electronic music in Buenos Aires in the late 80s. Chicago acid house, Detroit techno, German techno and electronic culture since 1987 shaped the first stage of his career as a professional DJ.
With Container, his robotic lighting and sound company, he fitted out most of the country's successful nightclubs — few people know Argentine nightlife from so many angles.
In 2003, after more than ten years away from the booth devoted to his company, he returned to the dancefloor: he absorbed the evolution of the decks and of electronic music while holding on to the concepts that define the artistic personality of a DJ schooled in the 80s, and with his command of timing, his knack for building atmosphere and his music selection he won immediate acceptance.
He is resident and director of Bahrein — the club that defined 20 years of Buenos Aires electronic music (it celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2024) and today carries on as a nomadic promoter — where he shared decks with figures such as Amelie Lens and keeps up his classic B2B with Abel Meyer on Bahrein Techno nights — with sets recorded from 2019 to 2025.
Today his sound is house, melodic-techno and techno: at Bahrein dates and, constantly, as a guest at the best clubs in Argentina.
